High up - way down into the valley
You can reach the extensive ski area up at the Gernkogel and Sonntagskogel at an altitude of 1,850 by cable car or chair lift directly from the Hotel Zinnkrügl. Long downhill slopes back to the hotel make skiing pure pleasure.

Off-piste there are also numerous winter activities in Alpendorf and St. Johann im Pongau for a varied winter holiday to experience.
Cross-country skiing:
3 perfectly groomed trails are available for all cross-country skiers. Beginners and beginners in particular will be delighted on the Plankenau trail - flat and with a few meters of altitude. You will find a challenge on the cross-country ski run in Alpendorf as well as on the high-altitude cross-country ski run at the mountain station of the Alpendorf mountain railways. Here you can expect a great panoramic view surrounded by a wonderful winter landscape in the mountains. Cross-country skiing can of course also be learned at the nearby partner cross-country ski school in Alpendorf.
A fun toboggan run with a stop at a hut on the Hahnbaum natural toboggan run is fun for the whole family. You can get to the start either on foot or by taxi. The highlight for many winter vacationers is a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through snow-covered winter landscapes. For those who like to walk, we recommend enjoying the wonderful landscape on a winter walk. Off the beaten track, a snowshoe hike ensures plenty of exercise in the fresh air. On the guided tours we show you the most beautiful routes through the winter wonderland around the Alpendorf.
